Job Summary:



This full-time University Staff position will be responsible for managing financial, operational, and administrative activities of the Division. Working under the Division Administrative Director (DAD) and the Division Chief. The Business Services Professional will assist with the administrative and operational matters of the Division of Plastic & Reconstruction Surgery. Activities included day-to-day administrative operations; calendar management, preparing financial and administrative reports; travel management; human resources; and monitoring and assuring compliance with administrative and regulatory mandates.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide administrative support to the division director and division chief of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery exercising confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
  • Manage complex faculty schedules/calendars as needed to include clinical activities and administrative responsibilities. This includes coordinating meetings, agendas, and minutes, coordinating clinical activities with the clinic and OR staff/calendars, anticipating potential conflicts, and facilitating increased efficiency with effective and consistent calendar management and communications.
  • Assist the division chief and medical students with travel by booking airfare, hotel and rental cars when necessary, obtaining department approval for travel, University Approval for international travel, creating itineraries, and completing expense reports per CU policies and procedures.
  • Supports the division administrator with administrative duties including organizing meetings, running the calendar, reserving rooms, coordinating schedules, Faculty leave collection and entry etc.
  • Organizes the monthly physician on-call schedule for UCHealth and Highlands Ranch locations.
  • Assist with recruitment of faculty & staff, including managing interview scheduling, arranging travel, and providing administrative support for the search committee as needed.
  • Oversees onboarding process for new faculty and staff including gathering all required documents, coordinating access, reviewing training requirements, and providing resources



Work Location:



Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:

Entry Level



  • A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.


Intermediate Level



  • A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of professional level experience.


Senior Level



  • A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years of professional level experience.


A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Professional experience in business operations
  • Experience working in a healthcare or academic setting.
  • Proficiency with University of Colorado systems including Concur, HCM and CU Marketplace

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, technically adept, software savvy.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

Entry: $51,437-$65,428

Intermediate: $55,975-$71,201

Senior: $60,514-$76,974

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
