Proposal Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Robotics & Discrete Automation - General Industries Metal Fabrication market and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by prepar-ing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final doc-umentation.
The work model for the role is: #LI - hybrid
This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation division in the US. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.
*Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.
*Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems; and ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
*Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2 - 5 years of related experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments is accepted.
  • Robotic welding automation experience highly preferred.
  • Robot studio software, 3D Modeling, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word experience highly pre-ferred.
  • Excellent math, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. NO SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE FOR THIS ROLE.
