Job Title: Payroll Manager/Benefits Specialist

Position Overview
The Payroll Manager/Benefits Specialist is responsible for overseeing payroll operations and managing employee benefits, including education and enrollment. This role ensures accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with all related regulations. Key duties include onboarding new hires, maintaining payroll records, and conducting audits related to workers' compensation, 401k, and unemployment claims.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for all company entities.
  • Oversee employee onboarding, including I-9 verification and background checks.
  • Maintain employee records and handle payroll and benefits changes.
  • Administer employee benefits, including healthcare, 401k, long term disability, short term disability, and life insurance.
  • Conduct open enrollment and provide FMLA and COBRA support.
  • Collaborate with accounting on 401k contributions and payroll reporting.
  • Manage audits for 401k, workers' comp, and unemployment.
  • Resolve tax issues related to payroll and benefits.
  • Process terminations and manage related documentation.
  • Implement payroll and benefits for new entities.
  • Oversee the distribution of W2s, 1099s, and 1095s.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience with multiple entities.
  • 2-3 years of benefits administration experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with initiative and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Paycom is a plus.
