Assembles, installs, tests, and maintainselectrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Maintainsand repairslarge motors, equipment, and control systems in campus factoryareas. Diagnosesmalfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Inspects Low and medium voltage electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Advisesmanagement on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. Testselectrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure system safety. Preparessketches or followsblueprints to determine the location of wiring, fixtures, and equipmentandto ensure conformance to job specifications, building and safety codes. Installsground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors. Repairsor replaceswiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Also placesconduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes. Providespreliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services. Performs minor electrical testing, troubleshooting, inspections and repairs for general building work. Respondsto a wide range of mechanical and electrical problems and troubleshootsto repair, including the ability to rebuild pumps and electric motors in house. Solid experience with laser alignment is also strongly desired. Operates systems in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with government regulatory compliance and standard operating procedures according to NFPA 70E. Performs maintenance in accordance with the CMMS. Assistswith the development and improvement of preventative maintenance programs, schedules, work instructions, SOP's and operational procedures. Recommends measures to improve equipment performance and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department, shop, or work crew. Providesgeneral labor services throughout all areas maintained by the Utility Maintenance department including cleaning and organization of designated work areas. Successfully completestraining and demonstratesan ability to perform equipment monitoring and operational checks on utility equipment. Complete site GMP requirements in relation to training and site practices. Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains all codes, laws, and regulations through the JLL compliance programandmaintainsa clean and safe workplace. Interactswell with others in a team environment including maintenanceandengineering team members as well as otherinternal orexternal customers. Able to work independently and follow escalation policy if needed. Actively participates in, technical and safety training programs. Performs additional duties as directed. Desired experience and technical skills - Required Licensed Electrician/Journeymen card Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, construction, repair and servicing of complex industrial and manufacturing power distribution systems, wiring systems, and motor starters and controls. Experience troubleshooting electrical circuits. Trained in grounding and bonding of medium voltage systems and equipment and Test Procedures and Requirements for AC cable terminations. Must be able to provide after-hourssupport Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel and CMMS Programs. Must be abletoholdand grip objects, bend, squat, kneel, climb, crawl, and reach overhead. Must be able to work in awkwardpositionsthat require atwistand turnoftorso. Push and pull up to 50pounds. Distinguishprimary colors. Subject to periods of prolonged standing. Perform work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding, including on roofs. Preferred: Experience working in a GMP environment a plus. 2-3 years' validated CMMS experience a plus. Knowledge of BAS (Building Automation System) or QBAS (Qualified Building Automation System) Shift: 6am-2:30 pm Monday through Friday/Overtime as needed and available for after hour emergency response. #Ejobs |
