Senior Tax Accountant - Indirect Taxes

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $94,000.00 depending on experience.

Summary:

The Senior Tax Accountant - Indirect Taxes will play a key role in the corporate income tax function, including returns, provisions, research, extensions, estimated payments, and audit support.

Responsibilities:



  • Support the compliance and preparation of monthly sales and use tax filings.
  • Collaborate with external providers for timely preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns.
  • Review sales and use tax returns prepared by external provider.
  • Manage/process sales and use tax payments.
  • Analyze/prepare monthly sales and use tax account reconciliations.
  • Support the compliance and preparation property tax filings.
  • Collaborate with external partners for timely preparation and filing of property tax returns.
  • Manage/process property tax payments.
  • Review/analyze property tax account reconciliations.
  • Support other indirect compliance functions and return preparations.
  • Research indirect tax issues as required and communicate results to management.
  • Support/ assist with state indirect tax audits and inquiries from state agencies.
  • Assist with other tax projects/ assignments as required.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Accounting or Tax.
  • 5+ years of Corporate sales and use/property tax experience.
  • Strong Knowledge of multi-state sales and use/indirect tax compliance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing deadlines and multiple tasks.
  • Flexible, resourceful, and able to work in dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • TABS is currently accepting proof of vaccination status on a voluntary basis during the onboarding process.
